No, we are not. In our studio we have sports masseurs, and a manual therapist with vast knowledge of the human body and the problems that can affect it at the muscular and skeletal levels. We are not part of the sanitary system and we cannot replace in any way Doctors or Physiotherapists.
We actually encourage all our clients to consult the above professionals in case of serious physical problems.

If I don’t have any physical problems, do you do normal massages?

No, we don’t. There are dozens of regular masseuses, masseurs, SPA, and Beauty Salons where you can book a relaxing massage. We will be more than happy to advise one.

In our Studio we listen to the client’s needs, and all our massages are focused on solving the issues (or at least getting it better).

Depends on what you want to do: if you want a sports massage that requires oil, then obviously yes. If you need manual therapy for some specific problem, we can easily work on clothes if they are light, comfortable to move, and not too thick. In case undressing or changing the clothes is needed, the operator will leave the room to guarantee privacy.

Depends, most likely yes. Sport massage often requires to go deep into the muscular tissues to release blocks. Davide’s technique comes from a dozen of years working with athletes that often want quick results even if it’s painful. They do not want to wait for the usual 10 sessions before getting some kind of results. Of course, the pain level will be adjusted to a tolerable level for the client. If there is no need to unblock a stuck muscle, the treatment might even be pleasant.

The session lasts 1 hour. 50-55 minutes hands on plus 5-10 minutes for the initial assessment, dressing/undressing (if required), paying, etc. The hourly rate is 50€ for Sport Massage and 60€ for Manual Therapy.

We’ll begin with the basics: Massage Therapy

The term is very broad and can include many techniques. The most common form of massage therapy is Swedish or classical massage, which forms the core of most massage training programs. In our specific version of massage therapy, which focuses on easing a condition, we strive to address the clients’ needs and concentrate on the area currently causing pain or discomfort.

  • Does it hurt? Not really, maybe a little in specific areas.
  • Needs oil? Yes.

Let’s step up a notch: Sports Massage

Like massage therapy, sports massage targets a specific area of the body that is in need of healing or relief by increasing blood flow. Sports massage is generally stronger and deeper than massage therapy; it can also be used pre-competition (to increase blood flow in the muscles) and post-competition (to help get rid of toxins and lactic acid).

  • Does it hurt? Depends on the status of the muscle; sometimes, it can be painful in the beginning.
  • Needs oil? Yes.

Now we go deeper: Manual Therapy

Every professional will give a different definition of it according to the studies he or she has completed. So, I will stick with what is practiced in the studio: a mix between deep tissue massage, trigger point release, and myofascial manipulation. The primary goal is to reduce pain and stiffness in the body, and improve posture and flexibility by releasing chronically tight and shortened muscles and fascia. This is accomplished by applying a combination of slow compressive and lengthening strokes on the affected musculature. The technique is designed to relieve severe tension and stiffness in the muscles and the connective tissue (fascia). It is particularly recommended for individuals who experience chronic pain, limited mobility, postural problems, are involved in heavy physical activity, or for clients who have sports injuries or any other kind of sustained physical injuries.

  • Does it hurt? Yes.
  • Needs oil? No.

Why should I come to you and pay 50€ for a massage when I can get one for 15€ somewhere else?

Mainly three reasons:

  1. We focus on your needs. Before the treatment there will be a discussion about your issues and needs, and we will focus on those during the massage.
  2. Quality. Davide is a highly trained specialist with over 20 years of experience, and he is now training the new masseurs joining the Team.
  3. Honesty. Our goal is to make you feel better. This is why, when you come to us with a musculoskeletal problem, we will ask you to come two, max three times. If after those sessions you did not get a significant improvement it means that our techniques are not right for you, and we will suggest what to do (in our opinion), and what professionals to consult. This honest approach always led to happy clients.

Let’s repeat this because it’s really important for us: Quality before anything else

Depends on the operator, we speak English, Estonian, Italian and a little of Russian. If there is a language barrier, we can discuss your issues in chat or email.

It is possible to pay by cash on the spot, or via bank transfer before the therapy.
